Terms

Terms of service

The agreement between your newsroom and Siffo.

The service

Siffo provides a WordPress plugin and a hosted account that together let a newsroom build interactive storytelling elements inside its own articles.

Your content is yours

You keep ownership of your copy, your files, your elements, your readers and your per story analytics. Nothing in this agreement transfers any of it to us.

Billing

Siffo is billed per newsroom, per month, in naira, excluding VAT. A story counts when a published post carries at least one Siffo element. Drafts do not count, posts published without elements do not count, and editing or republishing the same post never counts a second time.

Moving between tiers

You can move in either direction from your own account. A move up applies immediately. A move down applies at the start of the next month.

If you stop paying

Elements keep rendering the last value they read and stop updating. Nothing is removed from your archive, no post is edited, and no page breaks. You lose the refresh, not the reporting.

Acceptable use

Siffo is an editorial tool. It may not be used to publish material you do not have the rights to, or to misrepresent a source or a figure.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available at all times and will tell you when we cannot. Published elements continue to render from their last known values during an outage.

Changes

We will give notice before changing these terms in a way that affects what you pay or what you keep.

Draft copy. Written from the product brief so the page can be reviewed. Replace with the final wording when it is ready.
