How it works

Eight steps from a filed draft to an interactive story.

Siffo lives inside the WordPress editor you already use. You upload what you filed, read what it recommends, and decide what runs.

Self-hosted WordPress 6.4 or later. Installed in an afternoon.

The workflow

What a reporter actually does.

The same eight steps every time, inside Gutenberg.

  1. Install the plugin and connect your account.

Siffo installs from the WordPress plugin directory like any other plugin. You connect it to your Siffo account once, with a key from your account page.

  2. Mark the spot in your article where an element should go.

A Siffo block is a placeholder you drop into your draft in the WordPress editor, at the exact paragraph where a chart, a gallery or a video belongs. It is empty until you fill it. Everything that follows happens inside that block, so you never leave WordPress and never open a second tab.

  3. Upload the draft and whatever came with it.

Your article as a Word file, a PDF or a Google Doc link, plus the photographs, the video and the data files you were sent.

  4. Siffo reads it and recommends.

The AI reads the draft and the material together and says where a chart, a map, a timeline, scroll-triggered images, an animated statistic or a video section would earn its place. Each recommendation says why it was made.

  5. You accept, modify or reject each one.

One at a time, on their own merits. Nothing is placed because Siffo suggested it. Your text is never rewritten, summarised or rephrased, under any circumstances.

  6. The element saves as you work.

Siffo saves your configuration every thirty to sixty seconds, and immediately when you stop typing. A timestamp shows when it last saved.

  7. Publish the post as you always do.

The Siffo element renders interactively inside the published article, on your domain, under your masthead.

  8. Update the data later, without republishing.

If the source figure changes, you update the element in Siffo and the embed updates itself everywhere it appears. No WordPress republish is required.

Draft copy. Written from the product brief so the page can be reviewed. Replace with the final wording when it is ready.

Installing it

No server, no build step, no developer on the desk.

If somebody in your building can install a WordPress plugin and paste a key, that is the whole job.

  • What you need

Self-hosted WordPress 6.4 or later, running PHP 8.0 or later. If you can install plugins on your own WordPress, you already meet it.

  • How long it takes

An afternoon, by whoever already updates your plugins. There is no theme rewrite and no migration.

  • What changes for reporters

Nothing about how they file. The only new step is a decision, and the reporter makes it.

  • What happens if you remove it

Published stories stay up, holding the last figures their elements read.

What stays yours

Your domain, your SEO, your ad slots.

Siffo adds an element to your page. It does not take the page.

  • Your SEO

The page is your page. Markup, canonical tags, structured data and your sitemap all stay with your site, and every link and search result the story earns belongs to you.

  • Your ad slots

Elements sit in the flow of the post like any other block, so your slots keep their positions and your stack keeps its rules. Nothing is injected and nothing is reserved for us.

  • Your analytics

Whatever you already run keeps counting, untouched. Siffo’s own per story figures sit beside your numbers, not in place of them.

  • Your archive

Every story, element and source file stays in your WordPress database and your uploads folder. Switch Siffo off and the stories stay up.

Editorial integrity

The AI never touches your words.

This is the line the product is built around, not a setting.

  • It recommends only

Every AI action is a recommendation. It does not rewrite, summarise or rephrase your text under any circumstances.

  • You decide, every time

Accept, modify or reject each recommendation individually. A rejected one stays rejected on that story.

  • It shows its reasoning

Each recommendation arrives with a short explanation of why it was made and what it would be built from.

Get started

Put Siffo on your WordPress and file one story through it.

Install the plugin, file the draft you are working on now, and read what Siffo offers to build from it. Refuse all of it and you have lost a minute.
